A Dreamy Engagement Session

Saturday May 27, 2016 | Mountain Run Lake Park, Culpepper

It’s been a little while since I’ve done a blog & I am so excited to share this session with you all!
I met Alexa & Gregg at Meredith & Evan’s gorgeous winter wedding last year & was thrilled when Alexa contacted me for her own engagement!
We met up at Mountain Run Lake Park in Culpepper which offers so many pretty backdrops like tall trees, a lake (naturally) with a dock & some open fields. I was even more excited when they said they were bringing their dog Ripley however I didn’t realize it was going to be a German Shepard which are my absolute favorite.  A purebred German Shepard & she is just as gorgeous as Alexa & Gregg! And the name! So cool! She was so sweetly protective too. After about 10 minutes of shooting without her she would whimper a little as if she wanted me to give them back to her! haha I loved it!
So much I loved about this session! The location was awesome, the lighting just got better & better as the session went on & I’d be a fool not to mention how much I loved Gregg’s tattoos!!! Call me biased with my love for skulls but he had an awesome skull tattoo!! Alexa & Gregg were so much fun to be around! I loved hearing Gregg make her laugh so hard she would say “Oh Greggie!” which I think is the cutest freakin thing! I love hearing when I make others feel comfortable in front of the camera but they were so chill & laughed a lot which made me laugh a lot & made me feel comfortable as if I had been friends with them for quite some time 🙂
They seem to have a lot of fun together & I am so excited for their future together. I am also so thankful for this opportunity from the bottom of my heart! They dealt with some nasty heat (not that you can tell) so a huge thank you to them both for putting up with it!
