A Snow Filled Engagement SessionJanuary 17, 2018
Alex & Matt
November 2017 | Silverlake Regional Park
I remember when these two first started dating feeling so excited for them. They are such a great match. Then when Alex snapped her engagement ring as her way to tell me that she and Matt just got engaged I literally said out loud “AWWW” and tears came to my eyes. My husband looked at me as if something might have gone wrong but it was pure joy and excitement coming out. Maybe it was partly new mom hormones but I was just so happy to know that Alex said yes to spending her life with such a good man.
Alex and I have known each other for about 6 years and she has played a very special part in my life. She is also a wedding photographer and we have shot a few weddings together…we’ve even flown to The Bahamas to shoot a wedding for another dear friend. We’ve spent many hours talking about life, our passion for photography, our goals and dreams. She was one of the first people I told about being pregnant and she has been loving on my daughter Luna since she was a little tiny bean. She and her partner Stefanie (who I’ve also shot a few weddings with and is a very special person in my life) took our maternity pictures, our newborn and our first Christmas family portraits! I could go on and on about all the amazing experiences we’ve had but that would take awhile.
I was so pumped when she and Matt wanted to do engagement photos and naturally we had an amazing time. Matt killed it too. I guess he’s gotten used to it being with a photographer. This was a very special session to me and I’m so glad to share it with you all. Alex and Matt, I am so thrilled for you two and thank you so much for letting me have this time with you!
